AT&T National Tournament Preview – PGA Golf

From Wednesday June 30th through the Fourth of July, a run The PGA Tour, AT&T Tournament in Newton, Pennsylvania and it is a five day tournament. The event still has its fair share of big names shooting for the AT&T National Trophy, although it is in its fourth year, normally follows the US Open. Tiger Woods, the defending champion is already committed to play.

The event is open to the public and June 30th will be the Pro-Am. at 6:30 AM, the first group will tee off and the event will run through 7:00 PM. The event is well attended by celebrities and PGA professionals alike and is a good opportunity to see favorite celebrities in a different light.

On Thursday July 1st, the AT&T National begins in earnest. Besides Tiger Woods, PGA Tour players expected to attend the AT&T National and they are: KJ Choi, Vijay Singh, Paul Casey, YE Yang and Jim Furyk. The AT&T National is a popular tournament for the PGA players to unwind after the US Open and prepare for the upcoming British Open.

As the defending champion and PGA betting odds star, Tiger Woods, after his difficulties in the off season was not expected to play but the organizers of the AT&T National were pleasantly surprised when he entered to defend his title.
